PRIOR TO THE EVENT
Access to Air Force Base Waterkloof
To gain entry on the day of the event, you must complete a separate registration for access to Air Force Base Waterkloof:

Please note that this registration is not valid until it has been approved.
On the day of the event, you must present an official photo identification document (ID, passport, or driver’s license) to complete the registration process on-site.
We also recommend printing out your registration approval email from AAD 2024 and bringing it with you.
Dress Code
All attendees must wear business or service dress. SANDF members should adhere to the following Office Dress codes:
- SA Army, SAAF, & SAMHS: Dress 3B
- SA Navy: Dress 3AW

Parking
Please enter the base via Gate 1 or Gate 5.
You are welcome to use the park-and-ride facility located at Armscor (https://maps.app.goo.gl/PmL2PMaVWoBS2sKb7) off Boeing Street. A shuttle service will operate from 07:00 to transport guests to Gate 1 at the base.
To avoid queues, we recommend that delegates use Gate 1 on the first day.
Please note: You can collect your badge at Gate 1 from 07:00 on 18 September.
Conference Registration
Upon entering the base, please proceed to the conference venue in Hangar 5 for registration, where you will receive your name badge and delegate bag. Refreshments will be served. Kindly note the registration times:
- 18 September: 09:00 – 09:45
- 19 & 20 September: 08:00 – 09:00

Verify Your Registration
Please check your conference registration confirmation to verify which day(s) you are registered to attend. You will only be granted access to the conference on the day(s) you are registered for. We encourage you to take full advantage of the networking opportunities using our AI-powered matchmaking platform, Swapcard. You should have received an email entitled “AAD Conference 2024.” Once you activate your profile, you will be able to view other attendees and set up meetings.
